How it works in Maharashtra
Admissions to first-year diploma are conducted by DTE Maharashtra through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP), largely on SSC merit — 80% CAP quota and 20% management quota, as per DTE directives.
Eligibility
- Indian national, passed SSC (Std. X) of the Maharashtra State Board or equivalent, with Mathematics
- Minimum 35% marks in SSC for open and reserved categories (as per the institute's published criteria — confirm the current DTE brochure for 2026–27)
- Eligible candidates seeking first-year admission submit the application form to the institute

Scholarships & free-studentship as per Government of Maharashtra norms for eligible students. Fee-concession claimants must produce documentary evidence from the appropriate authority at admission.
Payment & original documents
- Fees payable by D.D./P.O. of a nationalised bank (valid minimum three months) in favour of the Principal; admission is confirmed only after payment
- The original school/college leaving certificate is retained by the admission authority on admission
